Hi.Had a relaose in Apr this year.Started on 15 mg prednisone in early June.At 10 mg now and when o try to go to 9.5 my symptoms reappear.Got my bloodwork back today which shows high white cell count.Thinking thats the prednisone.My cpr was 7.2 from 8.2.That doesnt seem very good.My sed count was normal in my 1st bloodwork.Am i expecting too much?

Yes you probably are expecting too much - if you had PMR before you should know you need to reduce more slowly.

Stay at 10mg for another month and then try again - provided you feel okay.

Then go up to ,10. You don't need to suffer over .,5 mg.

I had woes once I got below 10mg as well. Managed to 8.5mg for a month but too little for too long, and symptoms re-emerged.

Now I’m back up to 10mg for about 10 days now....relief!
