Slept through last night. (A rare thing)... Didn't have pred... Pain and stiffness in shoulders/arms bad this morning... I'm cross with myself as I'm two weeks into taper from 7 to 6.5... Second attempt which was going well.... All advice will be much appreciated... PMR dx February 2018

Hi When do you normally take your Pred? I’d just take the dose l’d missed now & then take the next one at your usual time.

Thanks for prompt response MrsNails, I'll do that.... Worried it may affect taper.... Everything crossed it doesn't....

Best wishes Lena 🌻

Just put it down to one of those things & you can always delay your Taper by a day or two, in the scheme of things it won’t make a lot of difference.

My guess is that you will get away with this, we’ve all done similar things. If the symptoms persist, you could try a short boost of extra Pred and go straight back down after a couple of days. Try not to stress too much, that’s the big enemy.

Thank you SJ... I'll give it another day, see if it settles.... If not, I'll take your advice....

I'll not do that again!

Thanks.... Take care... Lena 🌻

I assume you took what you had missed as soon as you realised? Once it has settled it shouldn't affect the taper if it is going to work.

Yes I did, along with paracetamol..

First time I've slept through for years!!! Perhaps it was my lovely birthday Italian meal I had yesterday😊 ... Sans Vino of course🥂

Thank you for your reply....

Best wishes Lena 🌻

A splash of vino works wonders at times!

We’ve all missed a dose, but if you take is as soon as you realise there’s usually not much harm done!

Belated birthday wishes 🌷

Thank you DL for advice and wishes....

Yes, I couldn't believe how much pain and stiffness there was!... Just shows how "good" Pred is....

If I don't have to increase again, I'll admit the meal and vino were well worth it😊.

Enjoy your weekend and stay cool...

Best wishes Lena 🌻

Yes Pred is good.....we very often forget that...so maybe it does us good to be reminded occasionally!

So long as it’s not too often.

Take care.

Indeed!.. I'm not that far along the PMR road... In my grateful opinion, I will defend Pred usage to the hilt!... Especially after this morning's 'hooha'🙄... A one night only occurrence....

I just love belonging to such a supportive "great gang"...

Can I just add... Although I am now 72 I'm only 60+VAT....

I'll take it😂

Oh, you're on the ball here DL.... I'll take that number as well....

Re earlier txt, should have read avec vino. Not sans.... I'm blaming it on my late dose of Pred😋...

Take care 🌻
