Boots gone up in my estimation

For those following the saga I just had a call from the local investigator at Boots. He apologised for the incident, said it should not have happened and passed on the pharmacist's apology. He's in charge of their local station branches and said that they have had visitors from out of town without their medication and they should always be treated sympathetically. I used to work in Customer Services and I'm quite impressed that it was dealt with in less than a week so before the pharmacist had forgotten about the incident. As I mentioned before, I think it was the mention of my MP Jeremy Corbyn that got them moving quickly, but credit where it's due. I haven't been in touch with him - I thought I'd see how the complaint process went before disturbing him at the moment when he's helping to make our national history.

Result! Well done for being persistent, perhaps the sender of the fob off letter has also learned from this. All good wishes.

I understood from the first phone call from her manager that a spot of 're-training' might be in order...

Good result...but shouldn't have been necessary!

Well, let's hope it doesn't happen again. It won't happen to me because I will never again go out without an emergency supply!

You must feel satisfied with the results of your persistence. We let too much poor/ inadequate service go these days.

Well done you for not giving up. It's taken them a week but they finally got there.

Mind you, if somebody threatened me with Jeremy Corbyn, you wouldn't see me for dust!

Well done! But.....? Do you really think JC would really be interested, or even find out about your Boots episode??

Well, he is my constituency MP so would have to show an interest even if he thought it was a waste of time. I must say that he is much loved locally, regardless of personal politics, because he is such a good constituency MP. He takes up the cudgels and really gets things sorted out for individuals and gets very involved with local issues.
