Has anyone tried SAMe for relief of PMR symptoms ? I seem to be having some luck with it. Trying to stay off the prednisone and side effects of it as I have been there.

Seems to have something of a miracle drug write-up which always makes me sceptical. However it is available here on prescription - but I have never heard of it! Must ask.

But do read the entire article to be sure you aren't mixing it with anything you shouldn't.

SAMe has been around for years. I took it for depression - though really it was very severe fatigue due to ME more than depression. It was very expensive at the time but I think has come a lot in price now. I used to get it from a US website at the time but I think health shops sell it now. Don't know anything about its uses for PMR. Be great if it helped.

I see it is contra-indicated with Amitriptyline, so I couldn't take it.
