Thanks. You are a source of information for the supplemental part of this disease. Hope the new place planning isn't setting you back!

Thank you for sharing! I’m way too tired to carefully read this in-depth article, but look forward to doing so over the weekend. In June 2017 things were coming to a head for me, medically. I had just been referred to my current rheumatologist and had lots of blood work done. One of the many elevated tests results was the 1,25 hydroxy vitamin D level. I still don’t know why; though, it may have been from taking Vit D everyday— I’ve since stopped. Perhaps this article will shed some light.

My D level was very high after I doubled my supplement, on advice of doctor. I have otherwise non-symptomatic sarcoidosis and this was probably the reason. Since cutting my D intake it's returned to "optimal" level and I'm allowed annual test to make sure things are still okay. Normally the body will only activate what it needs.

Yep. Both vits A and D are fat soluble so accumulate in fatty tissues in the body and levels can become toxic. All the other vits are water soluble so are excreted in urine if taken in excess.

OTOH - recent work has shown that levels nearer 150ng/ml are beneficial to asthma patients. However - a lot of that is observational - correlation is not causation.
