I cannot believe how different and how well I feel after Mondays meltdown!
By Tuesday I felt quite renewed....and know that I'd probably been storing this negative energy for several weeks. So pleased I shared and thank you all so much for your care and support.
I've been doing well since then, energy levels not bad....pottering in garden in 20 min stretches and resting in between. Daughter arrived on Weds afternoon with her not well controlled dogs.....felt exhausted after but soon recharged. Our large shopping trip yesterday was not too bad, rest of day resting and watching TV. For some reason I come alive around 9pm! So, at 11pm last night I decided to prepare the marinade for the meal today, Lamb Pasanda.
It feels self indulgent but I really do want to show you this mornings activities! For me it's important to list them as often I miss some of the 'mundane' tasks I do.
Today, so far is amazing!
Got up, made tea, walk down to let hens out whilst tea is brewing (this walk is 70 metres or so and 90% of days, I do the morning walk). Often on way back from hens my hips ache and I feel a bit fatigued. Not today.
Sit for a while, drinking tea, playing Scrabble on FB and after about an hour I am off again. Empty dishwasher (rarely my job) finish off the Lamb meal prep and have to walk down again 70 mtrs to pick 2 Bay leaves for the recipe....it's an enormous tree and yes I could plant something nearer. After meal is on stove I head upstairs to get washed and dressed! No need to rest between jobs, astonishing. Cleaned toilet bowl upstairs!
Come down, unload tumble drier (rarely my job), fold washing ( rarely done and left for the other person who lives here!). Clean downstairs toilet bowl (always my job as is not noticed by him indoors!)
Make lunch and then sit.
Now about to take some Paracetamol to ease aching shoulders (am sure this is not PMR but just because I am bending muchly!) Will sit and rest now in front of TV before we head out to see if I can find some lovely rose bushes for the garden.
My reason for posting....is so I have something to refer back to when the days plummet into despair and hopefully to give hope to others.
Oh.....the photo is of one of the lovely roses that came the other day .....I am not a rose lover but these are stunning. They look dry but are not. Only faintly perfumed which is good as it is rose perfume that I dislike so much. This is what has motivated to me to go rose shopping. Having said that, I understand I could easily root from these stems (and will do) but....don't want to miss a trip to the garden centre
Have a good day everyone.

I too am a bit of a night owl, always have been. Pre-pred that ‘morning stiffness’ used to leave me as the sun went down, and that is when I’d go for a walk in the dark, just because I could (after a day of the shuffle-waddle.)
Don’t forget to get a curry plant or two for the nasturtiums.
Noooooooo lol. I picked it up as it looked how I thought a Curry plant looks but also know of Immortelle as I have been using it for 3 years in Essential Oil form for pain relief It works really well when diluted into a carrier oil.
I have used it to help sooth post Carpal Tunnel pain and also for neck/shoulder pain which may or may not be Myofacial (? sp) pain. I also use it for my arthritic index fingers and thumbs. Often very soothing.
You have inspired me to get on with a job I have been putting off since last August.
I adore being in the garden one of my life's greatest pleasures. Over the years we have been given a number of rose bushes as gifts but I have failed to keep them clear of the dreaded blackspot and sundry other problems. They have however survived looking sadder and more bedraggled as the years pass by. A bit like me.
Anyway job for today is to sive the huge compost bin, I am practising my riddling move as I write.
The compost looks luxurious and as those of you who know Bob Flowerdew, "Good enough to eat".
Well done and so good to know your mood has lifted and you are finding pleasure and joy.
Do remember that the compost bin won't run away and will still be there next week to continue with riddling. It's making my shoulders ache just thinking about it...
