The new format - and problems...

In general I think the new format is better than the old one - however, it does seem to have some teething problems. I noticed someone had a phone problem but deleted the post afterwards - anyone else? I use a computer so that's fine.

I am finding that when I click on the email notification it sometimes takes me to the new comment and sometimes ONLY to the post at the head of the thread. Which then means I have to scroll down the whole conversation to find the reply in context. Which is fine in a thread with under 10 replies - but not when there are 50!

Anyone else finding this????

I somehow just ended up on Facebook halfway through typing a message. It's an adventure!

Hi,

Yes on my iPhone & iPad (not tried on PC as yet for reasons known to you) - as you say okay if there are only a few replies, but otherwise a bit if a naus!

What I do like is that apart from Ist response to originator (ie this one) all posts have the name of the person it’s meant for - so easier to follow and less likely to cause confusion as it has in past!

More unwieldy in getting back to posts if you’re in messages, or back to profile to select & paste an old post for example than original set up, but I guess we can’t have it all!

Yes the nesting better for that change but I can barely see who it is without reading glasses. 🤔

Have to say - I'm VERY glad I don't use the phone app!!!!

We should be able to have it all! We've put men on the moon. We've photographed Pluto closeup. We can read DNA. Surely we can have a messaging system which works both logically and intuitively!

I can tell what decade you grew up in! The same as me, when we did think we could have it all!

Don’t somehow think HU has the same money or technological brains as NASA, but that doesn’t mean I don’t agree with you.......if you can be bothered to scroll down to find this post 😏🤦🏻‍♀️!

But something did go amiss. I'm sure it's unintentional and will be fixed in due course.

I like the changes, EXCEPT that I'm not taken to the specific reply any more and have spent quite a lot of time looking for posts, whereas before the improvement you went right to the reply. I think this is a serious flaw.

Yes it is!

The notifications systems messed up. Takes me to oldest. As an aside I would love to be able to delete notification once I have checked it out. I would hate to be going through number of notifications the aunties go through. Might be smartphone thing I suppose.

Mine is inconsistent - sometimes the specific reply, sometimes just the top of the thread. So there is a bug somewhere.

When did this happen? I blink my eyes and there's something new? I just want to know how to reset the frequency of my notifications via email. I just spent hours deleting emails. Can't seem to find the place to change the settings.

If you click on your little round Profile photo at top right of the screen then click on 'Settings' - 5th item down on the drop-down menu - you'll find 'Contact Preferences' where you can change your email notifications.

The "Hub" appeared last week - I had a fit when I couldn't find how to get old posts. This lot appeared yesterday (?)..
