If this is to go with your other post about taking someone elses's pred, then if you are as bad as you said then calling an ambulance is not unreasonable and you don't need you husband to do that - in fact it is part of the reason it would not be unreasonable to do it.

I second PMRPro's advice. Call an ambulance it will get you to the head of the queue. My PMR onset involved vomiting ( on a long haul flight to Sydney). This could be part of the symptom picture for you. Are your head, jaw and eyes ok. ? Painkillers won't touch it and your mobility will carry on getting worse. You're not making a fuss, this is justified. Let us know how you go Cheshy.

After taking 2 preds in the last 2days I am feeling so much better. My only pain is shoulders arms wrists and hands. No jaw or head pain thank goodness.

Vomiting was my own fault because of taking 2 heavy duty codeine tablets on an empty stomach.

My symptons started gradually with a pain in my right arm for about a week then it moved to the shoulder. Xray and its rotator cuff tear. I did 3 weeks of physio the pain got worst andspread to my left arm and shoulder. I then had an injection in my right shoulder which did nothing by now weeks had gone by. Thats when the GP said it might be pmr. 2 blood tests 2 weeks apart weren't conclusive more time and pain until I took my Son in laws preds.

I go to my GP tomorrow to ask forcefully for my own script. Rheumatolgist appt is 13th oct.

I feel so much more prepared for what should happen regarding treatment thanks to this wonderful resource.

I feel for you vomiting on a long flight. Great start for your holiday. Cheers Cheryle

So embarrassing, Korean Airways were so kind just like nurses. They brought ground coffee for the er smell and it worked. ''This was not the only vomiting attack I had in the early days, it was like my body was trying to get rid of something quite violently. Unless a virus triggered the proper onset of low level PMR. I hope you get sorted soon, my hazy memory of those early days is a bit nightmare - ish.

I have 2 daughters and 4 grandchildren in Australia. Taking my 10 th trip in January. No way out of it for me.

Thank goodness for coffee grounds.

It's a pretty grueling flight. Where in Australia are they located?

One is in Coffs Harbour the other nearby in Sawtell.

It was Sydney, then Bondi Beach, then the Blue Mountains ( which I loved).

Jen did a year of her Degree in Melbourne.

The eldest is now an Australian citizen and she moved down the coast to buy a bigger better house.

We go Business class now ( can't bear it otherwise) and Korean is much cheaper, pity about Kim Jong Un, I'm booked with Korean Airways again.😳

Business class would be good and def needed for people with health problems. Your daughters are in N S W . I am in Victoria on the Mornington Peninsula.

Five years ago I lived in The Southern Highlands in NSW and after the death of my first husband moved back to Melbourne to be near family. After that one son and his wife moved to Qld. Typical

Still grieving for my middle daughter who has gone out supposedly for a year taking 3 year old Theo whom I've looked after since he was a baby and baby Rafe. Hoping she won't decide to stay forever like my eldest. 😩

I feel for you, my daughter is moving next year to the country, about 3. Hrs away. Still it's any easy train trip.

Don't despair my friends daughter and family moved to Nottingham 6 yrs ago.

Her other daughter went over to help her with the four children and met someone and she stayed.

Friend went last Xmas and was told we are never coming back. They arrived last weekend. Second daughter still in London with partner.

I can imagine how much you miss your grandchildren.

Yes I do. I had the joy of their little faces pushing each other out of the way on FaceTime late last night for me, breakfast time for them. We are just programmed to love each other no matter what the obstacles are.

Very glad that you have started on the road to recovery now. We'll be here for the bumps. Keep in touch.
