AA and jaw pain

Looking back at previous posts I think the jaw pain I wrote about began when I started taking alendronate. I see my GP end of the month and will mention it to him. Has anyone else noticed this correlation?

Thanks for all the help and advice

Hi barbthy,

Not me personally, but some people have complained about joint pain when on AA, so best to get it checked. Plus, can't remember if we've discussed before, but do you actually need to be on AA or not? For example have you had DEXA scan to check bone density?

Just checked back and you were due DEXA scan, what were results?

Yes had one last month and it showed osteoporosis - but the one I had 3 years ago was same diagnosis and I started and then stopped AA.

Hi again,

Apparently AA stays in your body for a good number of years so could be from that I suppose.
