Following my recent post, just to let you know that I am on target to complete a 10 mile walk in The New Forest on Sunday 25th June as part of the PMRGCAuk charity fund raising next week. I would like to take this opportunity to personally thank the members of this forum who have made a donation, you have been extremely generous and I am sure that the charity will be very grateful indeed. For anyone else who would like to make a donation, or are considering making a donation, please go to the link below for further details. It is extremely straight forward, you can make a donation at any time before or after I have completed the walk and for up to 3 months afterwards. Any amount, no matter how small, will be gratefully received. Thank you.
I will be accompanied on the walk by my lovely husband Paul, who will be providing some much needed encouragement and support, as well as ensuring that we don’t get lost. I am hoping that the hot weather that we are currently experiencing will subside somewhat, otherwise I will be starting the walk very early in the morning to avoid the heat….. an unusual dilemma indeed for the UK. We recently visited the Brecon Beacons in Wales and walked to the summit of Pen-y-Fan, at 886 metres it is the highest point in the South of England, which took us an hour to get there. It was a struggle, but it was worth it as the views at the top were stunning!! I survived relatively unscathed and felt surprisingly good the day after, so keeping my fingers crossed that it will be the same for the 25th.
Take care and THANK YOU

Thank you so much, yes it looks like it will be cooler next weekend. Thank you too for your generous donation, it was very kind of you. I will post an update on my walk on Sunday evening.
Warmest good wishes on your fantastic physical achievements and very good luck for your walk in the New Forest. I am surprised, however, that you survived relatively unscathed - do not the Welsh Nationalists have something to say about your statement that Pen y Fan is the highest point in the South of England? South of Great Britain, yes, but NOT England!! ;o)
