Hello,
Yes, occasional creepy crawlies 12 weeks down the line. It also hurts a little bit down to my ear for a day when I'm on day 3/4 of a Pred dose reduction. Nothing like the GCA pain. I've got various op wounds and they are similar. Patients whose wounds I have dressed invariably expressed concerns that their wounds felt funny or were tender months down the line. It depends on what nerves got damaged in the process and healing rate. I draw the line at swelling, inflammation, new pain, sensations or numbness, bad pain, persistent sensations, especially if it wakes you at night.
Nerves are bound to be damaged during the procedure - and nerves are very reluctant to heal...
Hi,
my biopsy was in Januar 2017. This crawling sensation is still with me almost every day. For me it's like a pulling, or pushing. Sometimes painful. As I'm on 60 mg Prednison since March I believe it's the GCA inflammation I'm feeling. I started Methotrexate injections four werks ago and it seems it's getting less and the CRP is down from 41 to 32, what makes me hopefull. I also feel my jaw being stiff, or constricted and this is getting less as well. The jaw sensation I feel on both sides, the temple sensation mostly on the left side. Hope that helps!
I hate it when doctors have that supercilious attitude! And many do! They should spend a day in your shoes before being so judgemental! Tell him/ her that you don't appreciate the attitude. But ask for a nurse to be present so that you can't be accused of threatening behaviour!
