decreasing prednisone

having started on 40 mg last oct 12, and being on 20 for 3 months, then 17.5 for almost 3 mos, have decreased 3 days ago to 15, seeing my rheumy on may2, so far no affects from decreasing this dosage, can i believe that won,t happen now, since this is 4 th day on 15 and seem ok so far

You won't get steroid withdrawal effects now - but if you have PMR or GCA it isn't too soon to be sure you won't have a return of symptoms. If the dose were only slightly too low it could take longer than that for the inflammation to build up to a level that caused symptoms. That's why we often say to wait at least a few weeks before starting the next reduction.
