Is it an old article? Most of the comments on there are dated a year ago.

Yes - 2015, But given some of the current threads it bears repeating.

It was published in May 2015. I do vaguely remember seeing it.

So do I!

Pleased to say I've lost a bit of weight since then, strange they didn't contact me for an update!

Not new stuff - just something that came up in response to some of the threads I've been dealing with recently! Something to take a copy of to some doctors - and even rheumatologists it seems since someone has been told she's too young for GCA and it would only be considered if she were over 65, that there is NO disease that causes loss of sight and flashing lights and her headaches are just headaches at her age!

Wow! Lovely pics. I remember reading that article long ago but at the time didn't realise it was one and the same lovely person who gives so much to this forum.xx

Kate put out a post asking if anyone with GCA and sight loss would be prepared to talk to Daily Mail for an article. See "Are you under 70 and suffered sight loss from GCA" 2 years ago. Muggins put her hand up! Did interview over phone, followed up by photo session!

Ah, not in the NHS's gift to deliver. What on earth does that mean? I thought the H in NHS stood for health.

Probably the same as people believing the N stands for National - it seems not...

Pity they didn't contact me for an update as it's was nearly 2 years ago. Never mind, as you say any publicity is good.

Do I get royalties 🤔

Clear article, able to show it to OH for the penny to drop. You take a nice photo DorsetLady. I was a Civil Servant too - Higher Education policy. I find you inspiring.

Dorset lady what a lovely photo, this is the first time I have seen your picture and read the article. I am astounded that after the appalling treatment you received you have remained the wonderful person you are today. Experience like this could make many people bitter but you have retained your gentleness and empathy and continue to help all of us following you. You are an inspiration and I am quite tearful knowing what you have been through. You are an example to us all.

Yes very good article - shame as you say Dorset Lady that they haven't done follow up but excellent to show to folk to help explain GCA.
