Positive Things!

Good morning from Connecticut! We are having some odd weather here, supposed to be 70 degrees F. on Christmas day. If I lived in the southern part of the US it would be ok, but there should be snow on the ground here! I'm afraid of what the payback will be later in the winter!

I am happy to report that my new rheumy is still earning gold stars, as is my new GP. I am convinced the methotrexate was doing more harm than good. I feel as though I am 'better' since stopping it 10 days ago, although I have a long way to go to being well. I started Physical Therapy yesterday and the assessment while depressing wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I am very weak on my right side, which is causing my walking issues. So I have very easy exercises to do once a day at home when i don't go for PT. My gastritis is calming down, that's one thing the dr's are wrong about for me. The acid blockers don't help me, they make it worse. So I'm doing my natural remedies and it's so much better.

I've been researching becoming a health advocate for a few months now and have started writing my business plan. Keeps my brain active, as mushy as it is!

Positive thoughts for 2016 for everyone!

Good for you! Thank you for your good wishes, I hope you have a very happy Christmas. Here, Nova Scotia, not so far from Connecticut, we have boasted the warmest temperatures in Canada several times this month with a very balmy Christmas Day (including, if we are lucky, sunshine) also in the forecast. But I seem to remember December wasn't so bad last year, either, and then in February we were hit with the worst winter on record! Do let us know how your health advocacy business goes. Should be particularly interesting in your country I think. 🎄❄🎄❄

Good news all round!

It isn't quite as warm as that here in Europe - but it is probably 10C too warm for the season! Especially on the mountains where it is in plus degrees all day and much of the night which doesn't allow much snow making - we've had next to no precipitation on the south side of the Alps for 2 months and there is none forecast before New Year, just cold down here in the valley. Two years ago there was no snow worth mentioning until Christmas Day when it rained all day down here at 850m but that was the start of the snowiest winter for years! Too much snow - new and heavy snowfall through into the day every third day really didn't make skiing very inviting unless you were young and foolish. Lot of avalanche deaths too.

All the best for the New Year!

We are in Arizona for the winter and the temps are colder than normal. Seems with el nino the west gets colder and the east gets warmer. Go figure!!!! Best wishes for 2016
