Slow Reduction Plan question

I have got down to '1 day old dose, one day new dose'. The next line is 'one day old dose, one day new dose'. So I take two days old dose' together? Is this correct?

Trenny, I assume it is the reduction plan suggested by PMRpro you are referring to, in which case here it is:

1 day new dose, 6 days old dose

1 day new dose, 5 days old dose

1 day new dose, 4 days old dose

1 day new dose, 3 days old dose

1 day new dose, 2 days old dose

1 day new dose, 1 day old dose

1 day old dose, 2 days new dose

1 day old dose, 3 days new dose

1 day old dose, 4 days new dose

1 day old dose, 5 days new dose

1 day old dose, 6 days new dose

I did something along similar lines but as my body was so very sensitive to Pred withdrawal at the 5mg and below stages, I did it in just 0.5mg decrements - slower than a snail's pace but it worked for me, and it doesn't matter how slowly you go at this stage as there are unlikely to be any side effects.....at least there weren't for me! Good luck!

I suppose technically you would say one day old dose/one day new dose/one day old dose/2 days new dose and so on. I was probably trying to not mess it up when I was typing it! I was having a case of pred brain but trying to make it clear.

You can adapt it however you like and I think I was thinking most people might hang around at alternate days old/new for a while.

If your old dose was an even number take this on even days on the calendar and your new dose which is odd number take this on odd days on the calendar

2nd 4th 6th 8th etc day in the month take even number and on 1st 3rd 5th 7th etc day in the month then take an odd number that way you don't have to remember how many you took yesterday
