Does pred cause some tooth infection/ pain?

Pred can cause oral thrush and very often does! It may make you more liable to infections of any kind as it is lowering your immune system, but a good mouthwash - or even a salt water rinse - should help. If it is thrush then you do need to see your GP as there is a specific treatment for this.

Taking pred can alter the blood flow in the gums and that can also cause problems. You need to be careful about dental hygiene when taking pred because of this.
