6 months since diagnosis & unable to reduce prednisolone without symptoms returning. Any advice would be most welcome

When would one notice of a flare up if any (hrs, days, weeks, months)after going down to 0mg from 0.5mg of prednisolone?

First visit to Consultant Rheumatologist and not good news
with PMR last November 2019. Started on 15mgs Prednisolone with good result, but each time I tried...
Pred or PMR symptoms when tapering 15mgs to 10mgs?(alternate day doses)
ditch alternate day and try 12.5mgs daily for a few weeks, then try reducing from 12.5.mgs to 10mgs?
I thought I was beginning to feel better after reducing from 45mg pred to 12.5 since diagnosis 5 months ago now I feel awful again.

Small increase - great improvement

Sleep pattern worse on reducing doses than it was on higher doses
