Hi Everyone, want to say thanks for the answers and research on this aspect of dealing with these diseases -- antiobiotics and prednisone. Believe it is difficult. what do you do? deal with the GCA, the pneumonia, both? GCA and PMR are rare diseases that can be very harmful. A day, or a month, can make a big difference with GCA. To me, it seems the medical community is just getting "there" on GCA and PMR. It doesn't happen only to people over 70. It may not even be a "natural part of aging". The intern missed it and it makes it difficult for me, with pneumonia, to handle the administrative functions, which should have been done, when I was in the ER. It is freezing outside and for me to use paratransit puts me at further risk of getting sicker. have just taken the 3mgs of pred, along with an enterin aspirin. was feeling a "funniness" on my left temple. the left temple artery is bulging. tighness around the left eye. vision is ok in the left eye. Wanted to say thank you, for the answers and research. best, Whittlesey
