Robust PSA Drops With Radionuclide Therapy in CRPCa— All but one patient had a PSA decline after a fractionated dose of 225Ac-J591
In a phase II trial, a single dose of 177Lu-J591 achieved better results with a higher dose, including almost a doubling of median survival, but more than half of patients developed grade 4 thrombocytopenia, and 40% received

Pluvicto and Hemaglobin
After doing another blood test on Friday, my hemoglobin is already down to 7.9 and the
Platelet
count is down to 26k. I could end up having
transfusions
every week or two at the rate I'm going. Anyone else having these issues?

Please advise - symptoms worsening
Hi all, As you may remember from previous posts, I’m still borderline anaemic and so I increased my iron dosage as per instructions several weeks ago. My FT3 has also plummeted from a decade average of 6 to now 4.8 (range 3.1-6.8) I’m getting horrific migraines (they start with blinding auras). I stopped

Still on hold for stem cell transplant
David has now completed 3 cycles of Vidaza. He had a bone marrow biopsy several weeks ago. At first we thought the results were good, that his cancer cells had been reduced sufficiently to proceed with transplant. After our local oncologist spoke to the transplant specialist at Mayo, we received word

Is there hope despite the pain? Is Cabometyx worth it?
My 63 year old husband LD stopped Cabo (Cabometyx) when we had Covid (because we took Paxlovid). Now he doesn't want to start up again because of side effects we believe are caused by the Cabo: jaw pain and numbness, body aches, tingling in extremities, pain in the shoulder joint emanating down his arm

Ruxalinitib for MF2
I would love to hear anyone’s experience with Rux. How soon did you notice a difference? Which were the most obvious side effects? How low did they allow platelets to go and other bloods, before dose adjustments or transfusions? Any replies much appreciated!

Better Understanding
I knew and expressed here that I was fearful of crashing this winter as I have since 1995 to varying degrees. I had set a marker of April 01 as a measure. I was successful although I will wait until April 01 to see it in my rear view mirror, and have a celebration although I am already celebrating. Some

I’m so sorry to hear about your dad 😢 I’m in a very similar situation with my dad, age 71, Gleason 9 with Mets to bone, lungs, lymph nodes and now a tumor in his bladder. Zytiga worked for him for years, but last January started with more bone Mets and lymph nodes, zytiga restarted and failed. Tried

'Something detected' on grandads CT scan....
Grandad is 86 and his iron levels have been dropping rapidly. He had a CT scan the other week and was called in to speak to a consultant at the hospital today. A Mcmillan cancer nurse was also there. He was told that there was something on the right hand side of his colon but they don't know what. So

Itching in Myelofibrosis
I'm currently taking Fedratinib and Danazol and am having 6 weekly blood transfusions. In the last few months I've noticed increased itching. Last night I woke at 2.30am and the itching made it impossible for me to lie still and go back to sleep. I am on 10mg of Cetirizine Hydrochloride daily and though

Uncooperative GP
My husband died in summer 2022 in hospital. At the time I was having very successful B12 loading injections for anaemia but after his death I was overwhelmed with work. I had asked the surgery not to use my mobile phone number (which they insisted on having) and use my landline instead but the GP

My take on the Nhs
OK I was 2 hours waiting in A&E when I had unusual chest pains but once I was seen I was admitted to hospital for nearly two months . This is back in October 2019 .I can only say the care I was given was outstanding. It turns out as well as needing a triple bypass I had anaemia quite badly which I

Advice on egg freezing and hysterectomy for severely heavy bleeding
Hi everyone, I'm doing a little bit of research so I can take a huge stack of notes to my next gynaecology appointment, and wondered if anyone was able to share their experiences. I'm looking at potentially freezing some of my eggs, as I have endometriomas. I'm still undecided as to whether I want children

Break from chemo
I had my pre chemo oncologist appointment today. He wants me to take a break from chemo to give my body a a chance to recover and go back to see him in 6 weeks. I’ve had 3 rounds of chemo gem/carbo but missed 2 of gem on its own. Scan showed some reduction and stable disease. But I’ve been admitted to
