Hello all, been a while since I’ve been on, well had my appointment with my Gen and my GFR is at 18 with high creatinine level, just got my 3 rd blood pressure pill and baking Soda pills, tests are gonna start now for a kidney transplant, hoping for a match from my youngest daughter for a live donor, guess there will be a meeting first with my Gen, surgeon , social worker , nurse etc, then testing begins, so prob looking like a few months, not sure what’s all in testing yet or what to expect, kinda scared and excited all in one, here’s hoping to living a life again and do things 😊

Hope all goes well. Tests take time. Ask them how long the process will take - for you and your donor. My advice is to chase doctors and nurses if everything is taking longer than you expect. People go on holiday or change jobs, and communications can be poor in some places.

Good to know, thank you for that tip, didnt think of that

So sorry to hear that, this what our disease is like. I do hope your daughter is a match so you can start the next phase of your life.
