hi folks

my name is graham and i found out i had ADPKD when i was 25 i am now 39 i go every year to get my function test done and scans but over the past year i have been in hospital 3 or 4 times with pains in my sides. i have now got a carthater bag in as i had blocked my tract so at the moment i am really down in the dumps my partner try's to help me and i just wont let her is tht a bad thing same with my friends and family i just dont want any fuss over is that bad

any tips

I think everyone sort of reacts that way at first but if you let people help it makes it easier on both you and them, a motivator to start doing as much as you can to work with the issues you will face and any treatments that might be available to you

Hi Graham, I was diagnosed with ADPKD aged 22 and will soon be 43, I would let people help. Presume it’s in the flank area at the back (Only because that’s where I seem to get it) I would rather give birth than have that pain, it’s excruciating. The best thing that works for me is IV Paracetamol
