Are these pains normal?

Hi, my 11 year old has early onset PKD. She has been complaining of backache and lower abdominal pain for a few days. No sign of her feeling unwell though. Is this normal?

I strongly advise you go to a gp. Kidney infections can be pretty mild but get worse suddenly or scar the kidneys permanently if left. You need to get a white blood cell count and crp blood tests as its the best way to find an infection. Other ways give false results. I have adult pkd and have a lot of knowledge as a patient and relative.

Thanks for that advice. My husband has stage 4/5 pkd. He rarely suffers with the backache, so was unsure if the backache was a symptom. Hope you're okay.
