Taking Rivaroxaban to prevent DVT.
and
Pitavastatin
2 mg. I feel very ok with Rivaroxaban. I don't to check the blood. I had Acute Pulmonary Embolism 4 years ago, and have to have this NOACs lifetime after D-dimer was very high again 2 years ago. Rivaroxaban doesn't cause side effects.

Pre diabetes update , raised uric acid,
About 2 weeks ago I had some blood tests at the GP surgery , received a text telling me I was pre diabetic and offering me to join a program to make health choices etc. I was shocked, so was my GP. She went through my history, current rehab, nutrition etc and thought the result was a false positive.

Help with Cholesterol
Hi - I’m post-transplant (May will be 9 years). I was switched to Bela and sirolimus and low dose pred about one year ago. Cholesterol is running 218-223 and has been attributed to the sirolimus. I don’t eat red meat and eat very little dairy. My snacks of choice are granola and/or chia pudding made

I have high cholesterol and my primary is urging me to take a statin, pravastatin, 10 mg. Years ago. I took Lipitor and stopped it because of side effects. Now, I'm CKD 3b (gfr=32) and so fearful that my kidney function will decline if I start the statins. My kidney doctor who was great just left area

recommendations for high cholesterol med please
I stopped taking my cholesterol meds in November, just tested again and it's now 371. For RLS I'm now on gabapentin (100mg) and .5mg requip (need to transition off). My RLS is the best it's been in years! However, my doc wants me to continue to take the pravastatin (80mg) for the high cholesterol
