Hi, my last labs arrived and I just wanted to share with you my personal experience with the combination of 75 mg of Levothyroxine + 1 1/2 grains of NDT, struggling to get the right numbers for more than 2 years now. I am also taking MMS to fight the Lyme disease which I think was the mean culprit for my hormone and thyroid and weight gain mess.
Yes, I know what you are thinking about the T4 levo, but in my personal case it raised my stubborn T4 no matter how high I used to raise my NDT. So let's see in the long run if I would change it totally on NDT.
After several months of trial and err I finally got the right numbers. I've also lost more some pounds 186-163.5 lbs. Even though I still wonder if I could lose even more as same weight as 10 years ago (used to be 149 lbs). Now I am 44yo. I know the age factor could alter our weight but just wondering if it is still possible to dream about my older weight.
I am also con Clomiphene 50 mg that is bringing my energy and low T back. Still wondering how not to depend on this and wave it in the long run.
Anyway, these are my new numbers:
TSH 0.01
T4 FREE: 1.4 in range: 0.8-1.8 ng/dL
T3 FREE: 4.1 in range: 2.3-4.2 pg/mL
I pray to God that next numbers won't change and keep this way.
MEDICINE: 75mg Levothyroxine + 1 1/2 NDT (thyroid-S) + Clomiphene 50mg
VITAMINS: Selenium, Iron, Magnesium, Zinc+Copper, B12, Potassium, D3 (last test showed super low numbers).
QUESTIONS:
Why I stopped losing weight in despite my numbers being on range? I am happy with my new weight but for me is not enough. Just wondering what's the explanation. Is it because my age and the body reset a new weight or something according to age? What's the answer.
Thank you for your answers in advance.
PS: For those wondering about why I took my labs 12hs instead of 20 is due to an article I read the other day which seemed very certain at least in my case. tiredthyroid.com/blog/2015/...
