Is anyone going to the 'Stillness' retreat from the 17th - 21st June?

I wondered if anyone on here is going on the 'stillness' retreat in June? I'm a bit nervous about doing a whole day of not talking, but the retreat sounds wonderful and I'm looking forward to meeting some more new lovely Penny Brohn friends.

xx

I am doing the Approach Course next week so will have to see how things develop after that.

I did the Approach three weeks ago, which was wonderful. I felt exhausted after it, but then I was only 3 days out of chemo number 4! Once I had rested and the Penny Brohn experience had sunk in, I came out of it stronger and more chilled. The food as always was amazing!

Let me know how you get on and whether you decide to book for the Stillness retreat.

I would like to go to this, and probably will if I can

There is no need to be nervous, everything about the Penny Brohn is done to make you feel cared for and improve your wellbeing.

Hi Penny2

I agree, Penny Brohn is a little piece of heaven on earth. I do hope you can come and maybe you can give me a nudge if I start talking. Even at home on my own, I have a little chatter to myself! :-)

I tried to answer this question yesterday but for some reason it isn't here! I'll try again. I did the stillness retreat last summer and absolutely loved it. My best week for a very long time. Really lovely people, as everyone who goes to PB (or works there) is, and such a wonderful atmosphere. I enjoyed the day of silence, though really it's only about 8 hours as it only starts after the morning meeting and ends at the evening meal. Lunch was quite amusing, pointing to things we wanted to have passed to us and smiling whenever we caught someone's eye. I'm hoping to go on the nature retreat, either in May or July, and am so looking forward to it. You'll have a wonderful time Butterfly xx
