Hi Karen,

What is your diagnosis? I post mainly on the Ovacome group. I just happened to see your post on my feed and thought how lovely your hair is.

Hi Karen,

Get yourself onto the OVACOME site. It is full of useful information and there are many ladies suffering from PPC.

I live in Southport - not far from you?

What a lovely photo! You haven't said what kind of cancer yet but I'd suggest contacting your local self-help support group, either for your specific cancer and/or a cross-cancer group. I can't begin to describe how much my local support group has done for me, we learn so much from each other and share so much info and support: thelivingtree.org.uk

There should be a group near you.

In Dorset we also have Macmillan Cancer Advocacy who provide advocates to journey alongside you, listen, support, go with you to hospital or any medical or other appointments. They have access to a huge range of advice and info: dorsetmacmillanadvocacy.org/ I hope there is something similar near you.

Call Penny Brohn or Macmillan helplines to talk any time when you feel low....

Where is penny based xx

Penny Brohn is based in Pill, just on the outskirts of Bristol, they have a website from which you'll find their phone number, I see from a previous post you're based in Lancashire, sorry but I don't know what support there is in that area, but I'm sure if you ring MacMillan they'll know of any support groups in your area good luck

There is a monthly support group in Preston Lancashire called The gentle approach to cancer. Although Pill is a long way for you, you can stay overnight on some of the Penny Brohn courses, it is worth the long journey, as they really understand what care you need. Good luck.
