Hi everyone I'm new to this group but not to prolapse,I have now just been told I have yet another prolapse, this is now number 4, I've already had a hysterectomy, virginal repair and only a few years ago had mesh to hold my vagina up,I can't take any more of this so now on my next appointment with whoever it will be on asking for them to remove the vagina as I really have no use for it as it is too uncomfortable to have sex and been without it for 14yrs,sorry for the too much information bot but I needed to vent, thank you for reading xx

I'm so sorry you've had so many problems. Out of interest, do you do pelvic floor exercises daily? My gynae physio told me after I had hysterectomy and repair that I needed to do exercise every day to stop more prolapse. I use a kegel daily and also do the other exercises for the pelvic floor. Also I was told no more heavy lifting forever.Welcome to this site by the way

Hi yes I've been doing them since the first prolapse, unfortunately my organs aren't very strong due to all the surgery I have had since a child,it was all in the same area,I was told that I might not be able to have children because of all the damage in there but I tried anyway and had three beautiful babies, first one was c section due to placenta coming away from the wall she was two weeks early, second baby was natural delivery two weeks late and only took 20 minutes from start to finish and my third baby was c section as my waters broke at 25 weeks and had to be on bed rest until he was born at 36wks,I knew the cost of wanting children and how it might effect my body but I was so hoping that they were wrong x

Hi sorry to hear of your problems. I too have prolaspe. I do kegel exercises everyday well l dont actually know if l do them correctly but I am trying l have a kegel8 ultra 20. I think it has helped me as l dont feel so uncomfortable as often with the dragging lump sensation. I also take macrogol one sachet a day cosmocol is my favourite brand. This is on prescription . lt helps me with bowel movements wouldn't be without it! There are alot of ladies suffering these sort of issues it's a shame people arent more open about it. Please vent on here anytime. I have only told a few people of my prolaspe problems by the way l have a ring pessary inserted that helps keep things up a bit. I also have hypothyroidism which is easy to chat to anyone about. Prolaspe is a little different to chat about. Message me anytime All the best to you

Hi thank you for your kind words,I don't have a problem with my bowels as I have IBS and it's let's say free flowing,I knew the risks when I had my children and I knew I more than likely would lose my vagina, there is no muscle tone left for the exercises to work with xxx

If you look around this site you wil find comments about natural sea sponges - I found out about them here and have used them for about two years. They have made a huge difference as they just hold everything up in place and are removed easily. I only use it when I go out, not all the time. I hope you find something that helps you xx
