Exercise can help with recovery

Hello,

My name is Fabiana, I live in Portugal and I have been suffering from Pudendo Nerve Neuralgia since 2017.

I had a good recovery period in 2019 through physical exercises, but before the Pandemic, I entered a cycle of thrush/urinary infections that made me stop exercising. I got worse and worse, with pelvic pain, sciatica and perineal pain. In 2021 I was operated on in Spain to release the Pudendo Nerve and only improved sciatica and pelvic pain. I am currently not well, but I believe most of our problem is due to pelvic floor muscle tension! I believe that eccentric exercises are a more recommended recovery because I know people from Brazil, Colombia and Mexico who are recovered thanks to the exercises.

My objective now is to relieve the tension of the pelvic floor muscles in this way... try to evaluate this hypothesis and whoever is interested, can see the story of David McCoid (English who recovered from Pudendo Nerve Neuralgia).

your English is fine…I too have been with p/n scene 2017…I found help in yoga titled your pace yoga reliving pelvic pain and the book by Amy Stein healing pelvic pain…I hope you feel better look up marshmallow root tea for your bladder pain

Fabiana,

Thanks for sharing. I self-diagnosed myself with PN, which I have been suffering with for 2 years. I do believe the worst of it is from tension as you say. Between commuting 3 hours a day, and with a job in which I sit, PN has been a problem. I will take your advice and consider exercise as a relieve if not a solution. If I could get the discomfort down 50%, it would be worth it.

at the moment I am also doing the exercises and you will feel a worsening of the symptoms, but with time, the muscles, nerves, fascia will work normally. From the reports I see in people who are healed, this is it! initially we feel more pain at the beginning of the exercises because we are touching the injured part. After the myofascial release exercises, we have to move on to strengthening (in this case, people recover faster with eccentric exercises and weights). Check out the course, I bought it from David McCoid's website.

In addition to the exercises, there is a community on facebook and whatsapp group. p.s - I don't gain anything from these advertisements, I just don't have hopes for doctors anymore. I think that our recovery is in the strengthening of the body. I myself hired a personal training to help me.
