IUD with prolapse

Has anyone ever had copper coil fitted with a womb prolapse...I did and was told by my doctor that it was as effective as it would be with no prolapse but now I have a late period and thinking my doctor was maybe wrong

I'm going back about 25 plus years but prior to my hysterectomy in 1995 for prolapse I had used an IUD for several years beforehand and had no problems or concerns. My prolapse was grade 3 and it was a while before I had the surgery. We're all different but I hope that helps and alleviates some of your concern. Stress can play havoc with your cycle!

Thank you for replying,I think I've over stressed myself with and started panicking,not that a baby is bad news but I have 4 already so would be a big surprise hahaDid u ever get any treatment for prolapse,I have been seen once because the virus and I'm pretty much living with mine everyday
