Can gabapentin worsen symptoms or cause pgad? I've been taking it and I notice it makes me feel 1000x worse. I mean I'm not sure because I thought ssris or anything increasing serotonin does. I thought gabapentin was prescribed for pgad.

It has been explained to me that Gabapentin can keep the body from it’s natural response to masking pain

That doesn’t make the cause of your pain worse I’m told

The side effects of Gabapentin can make you feel dizzy and fluish

If it’s making you feel worse stop taking it and ask gp for an alternative. Not all drugs work as they should for some. Best of luck x

Please look into pelvic laxity. I have had nerve blocks, operations on pudendal nerves (2 kinds) I get these symptoms..firstly get some hypericum oil it does soothe the PSAD.. then please look into pelvic laxity is where the pelvic ligaments have stretched. See dr Mayo Friedlis on utube pelvic pain in women. I have seen 25 doctors/specialists. I am looking into the (right sort) of platelet rich plasma injection from your own blood. Some concentrates are just too weak but look at utube. You have to make your own mind up about this and other replies. Good luck.

I’d advise against using Gabapentin. Amytriptyline or Nortriptyline are nerve pain modulators that I’ve read are safer.

You can read about class action lawsuits in the US regarding Gabapentin. Good luck. I’m sorry the block did this.

I would get lidocaine cream from CVS, use that where you want. Most of the meds are crap. Buy a heating pad or electric blanket. Search for an Anatomy Trains Specialist or Gonstead Chiro, to take x Ray's of the spine and pelvis, it could be numerous nerves that are subluxated from the spine, inguinal, hypogastric, or genitofemoral nerve, call them up, ask about SI joint dysfunction, sacrospinous or sacrotuberous entrapments of the pudendal nerve & artery compression. Call around to every ob gyn and urologist in the area and ask if they have a pelvic floor therapist that they can refer you to for insurance to cover treatment. And schedule an appointment for the one that works with pelvic floor therapy and ask for lidocaine pain management and valium. Nerves are like wires you pull on one end, you can have pain on the other end, I think that's whats happening here. For women that wear high heels, cross their legs, these are problematic and can create a hamstring problem with heels, via tight calves, and crossing the legs can weaken the external rotators. You can have trigger points in the external rotators, Obturator Internus, Piriformis, Adductor Magnus Anterior and Posterior head referring pain and effecting fascia of the pelvis and nerves. Pelvic floor therapy should address this. All in all my hypothesis is a stretching out of the sacrotuberous ligaments from hamstring weakness. Thought I'd type this up since you joined on my birthday. Some synchronicity.
