While it isn’t on the bottle, I called the compounding pharmacy Pro Health Nyc and asked

They said it is 10mg per suppository

.

Most pelvic specialists suggest the suppositories,

While they say it is best to use the suppository for absorption and correct dosing

( I am not qualified to dispense a script but I know many people just get coconut oil and crush 5 or 10 mg or less, tablet to dust and mix and apply internally). It certainly is cheaper and more convenient to travel with as the suppositories need to be refrigerated

Hope it helps

I was prescribed valium suppositories. Didnt help my fecal incontinence! That’s one of the inadequate treatments I’ve received.

Because Valium relaxes the muscles, it shouldn’t be used while driving or operating heavy machinery and therefore should be inserted at night, before you go to bed.

Interesting. I do the suppositories and have no ill side effects. I take them during the day as that is when I am really hurting. I drive and feel fine and alert. The only thing my doc said was take it at night the first time to see how I react to it. Also, my script is for 2 a day every 12 hours as needed for pain. I only do one a day as at night I am not in pain.

I’ve used them for sleep for almost eleven years. They make me tired and I could not use them during the day.

Also, gravity would make the mixture flow out of the vagina. How do you manage to keep the suppositories inside of you when standing, driving and moving?

I read all your “treatments”. If you can get to Dr Hibner mention to him avulsed levator ani muscle. See if he will do a translabial ultrasound and beg beg beg him. All the things you’ve been through indicate to me they’re dancing around the real problem. I pray you don’t have to suffer through as much unnecessary surgery and treatments as I did for 40 years and still no relief

I looked up Dr Michael Hibner and his website states he’s “permanently closed”. Can you help me find him please?

He has left St. Joseph's Hospital and is now in private practice. azccpp.comAt the time I called in January 2021, he was not set up to accept any insurance. Dr. Castellanos is the only one at St Joe's now to perform the various procedures. I am slated for the Amniofix injections at the end of March for my Vulvodynia with Dr. Castellanos.

I would be glad to private pay if he could fix my problem.

Yes, indeed. I do think it's unfortunate that there are many that are simply not in a financial position to do so for such crippling pain. Consult was $750.00 if I remember correctly.

And I am far from financially secure but would take out a loan, put it on a charge card, sell my dead mother’s tombstone. Im telling you I’m desperate.

Oh my. I had a small giggle but I get it. I urge you to call that practice. The front office was super responsive and oh so kind when I called

Just found this paragraph in researching if amniofix would work on fecal incontinence:

“The prevalence is higher among women, the elderly, people with poor health or physical limitations, and those residing in nursing homes. Other risk factors include pelvic radiation, pregnancy, pelvic injury associated with vaginal delivery, anorectal surgery, diarrhoea, faecal impaction, some neurological conditions, and diabetes.”

Pelvic injury associated with vaginal

Delivery. Thats when it all started and then numerous unnecessary surgeries.

Hmm. Mine was no pregnancy related. I wish we could PM. Do you know if there is a way?

And I have Vulvodynia. Not fecal incontinence

I am choosing to stay with my appointment/injection in March as it took me a year to get in. Hopefully, the surgery will stay as scheduled due to COVID. The amniofix is still considered experimental. If it does not help, I will certainly seek out Dr. Hibner's group. I think we all would sell our souls to have pain relief.
