Has anyone had experience of either of these for lower back pain?
My life os unmanageable at the minute and I need to go private to pay for this urgently.
My history is total hysterectomy with Endometriosis on my bowel.
I have 3 bluging discs one has an annular ring tear.

Hi sorry to hear that you are in so much pain. I've had a cortisone shot for my broken sacrum and unfortunately it only killed the pain for 1 day. Some people say it works really well so I guess it's worth a try. How much does it cost, i live in Australia and mine was free. ngouts
Our Health Service has crashed here, Im 2 years into a 3 year waiting list on the NHS.
Its got so bad that I need to pay myself. Im wondering would a nerve block be better for me.
How did your Sacrum break that sounds nasty.
My pain is everyday and now day long.

My sacrum broke when i fell backwards onto cement. Maybe a nerve block would be better for you. I am thinking of having a pudental nerve block as i am still in heaps of pain. My S1 L5 sbone isnt healing because I have osteoporosis and my to has advised against surgery. I hope you get some relief. Where do you live I'm just wondering about your health care system.
Had cortisone in L4/L5 about 6 weeks ago only lasted a couple of days, I also suffer from PNE.
So sorry to hear you are not healing. I got advice from a physio who has stopped giving injections saying they arnt ling term solution and he had them himself and too many clients saying relief is not ling lasting. He eeferred me to a qomans physio. During this consultation she said she did not think it was my sacrum more mechanical stiffness and suggested exercises for me to do. 3 weeks later Im not any better and think possibly Im not ercercising the area enough. Always trouble at L4 L5 for me too. Right now the pain is higher up in my left upper quadrant well above my usual problem area of the cocxics area. Its a bearing down stiff, gnawing pain, constant.
Feeling ir more upon exertion around the house and hoovering is crippling me. Im 7 months post hysterectomy for endometriosis and adenomyosis and minus the bleeding, Im not feeling much benefil overall yet. Im only 39, feel like my life is in tatters with physical pain.
Priced them private at 245 to 290 great british pounds and will not pay this for temporary relief of injections.
Im left being 100% more proactive to "stretch"out my mechanical stiffness and try to get myself fit and active again.
Have been advised physio led pilates. Have to give everthing a go.

Meant to say the ladys physio did pressure and release technique on me to clarify she thought it wasnt my sacrum more mechanical stiffness around L5 L4 areas and when she would pressurise hee thumb into my back it was very painfull in areas but the hurt felt good too lol...Im a sado masachist obviously 🤣...I was sore for a few days after that prodding about but Im still very sore in the area in general if not the pain has moved a bit.
Hi so sorry to hear you are not healing. I had cortisone injection in L4 L5 and it worked for 1 day. I wouldn't bother having it again. I broke my sacrum a year ago. I have osteoporosis and my sacrum isn't healing so I'm in pain all the time. My neurosurgeon said surgery probablyo t
Won't help so I guess I'm looking forward to a,lifetime of pain. I'm just wondering why you have pain in your sacrum. Please let me know.
Its a grim prognosis to think we are STUCK with this pain.
My sacroluac joint swung like a hinge at just 16 weeks pregnant the relaxin hormone to blame supposedly.. I had terrible pelvic girdle pain so so early on and had been told a few times by my chiropractor (pain wouldn't leave me after the birth) I was off to one side, I had chronic shooting pain in later days in pregnancy. When my Chiro would look at me I always seemed to need "realligned" as in I was tilted to one side ...sacroiliac joint or pain from L4 L5..always the diagnosis via several chiro's.
Im still not entirely sure if the pain I get around my cocxixs isnt from a previous fall I had in 2012 I also broke 3 bones in my leg, tibia, fibula and talus, Im being told due to the surgery I may have 1 leg shorter another reason for throwing my pelvice out of whack frequently.
Ive got orthopaedic insoles to wear, a product from physiotherapy sessions on the NHS.
Looking at what I written Im really remembering all thats gone on with me and that I couldn't be right could I after all of this ^

Have you tried any of the nerve receptor type painkillers such as gabepentin? I may have to go this route again with my GP.
Im making an appointment tomorrow.
