Pudendal nerve release surgery

After hysterectomy & a bladder lift,I have Pudendal nerve entrapment. Had another surgery for this nerve. Now I'm 2weeks post op. I am bleeding like a period. Went back to uro/gyno. Was told not to worry, that this is old blood coming out. I'm not so sure about the diagnoses because I was also told if it gets worse call immediately. I have another office visit in 1 week. I'm very nervous about this. I was told that if I have popped stiches the only fix for this is another surgery repair & they can't do it in office. Another trip to the hospital I would have to go. Do I let this dr. perform a third surgery? During the nerve release surgery, He said he also cut the mesh stiches to allow the muscle spasms to relax. The pudendal nerve surgery did help "Butt" now with this bleeding I haven't a clue what to do. I guess I will find out next week. I will bring my husband with me this time because he wants me to see another surgeon for a second opinion. So confused & worried. Has anyone had a simular situation.

I think you should ask the doctor to check your platelets, your prothrombin time, your P.T.T. and INR. You need to find out if your clotting factors are working. Good luck.

Good luck. Keep us in the loop. Too much bleeding can cause anemia.

I went to my uro/gyno appt. for the 2ND post op. after the pudendal release surgery,He is not worried about the bleeding for 2 1/2 weeks he put a liquid bandage on all incisions. He said he can't see the stiches at the back of vaginal wall without hurting me with the equipment that opens the vagina but put the bandage on them anyway. He said I will stop bleeding in about a day or so. This morning still bleeding and very frustrated. I have another appt. tomorrow. Is it time for a lawyer/another dr. What would you do?

If you went to an Emergency Department, would you get help? Is all that blood loss making you feel dizzy, weak OR are you anxious and scared?

Give it one more day and then seek help. Can someone advocate for you and take you to the next appt?

Why do you have stitches in your vagina? Was the branch of the pudendal nerve that enervates perineum/ vagina injured? Just wondering because I never got stitiches in my vagina.

Good luck.

My husband will be there. My stiches were to release the pudendal nerve entrapment that was causing the pain on my sit bones and that was caused by the hysterectomy and bladder lift.

Good to hear that. May you get good counsel at the next appt.

If you don't mind I just wanted to ask if you thought the surgery helped a lot or not too much and I'm sure the doctor's right the bleeding situation it's probably not any thing too serious... Bleeding is always frightening but often not serious
