Need advice on what to do next

Like many of you, I'm in pain and don't know what is causing it. I started having bloating about a year ago, and then intermittent pains on my sides and back. About 4 months ago I started having abdominal/lower pelvic pain along with menstrual cramps at odd times like right after my period ends or nowhere near my period. I've gone to a gynecologists who tested me for PID. It came back negative but she still gave me antibiotics just in case. I took them for a few days but this made my pain really bad so I stopped taking them. She said my symptoms are not a typical presentation of endometriosis but that's what it could be. She suggested a lap or birth control. I don't want to do either of those.

I also have hypothyroidism and was told I needed to increase my thyroid medicine dosage around a year ago. I increased the dosage when the pain started and I noticed the pain got a little better. Around the time I increased the thyroid meds, I went to see my internist who did a stool analysis which showed I have digestive issues. She prescribed a bunch of herbs. Since then some the pain has gotten worse. The only thing that has improved is my bloating. I no longer have it because I take enzymes with every meal.

I don't know what to do anymore. I don't really trust my internist since the pain has worsened since I have been on the herbs for a month.

Any suggestions?

You really need to get a copy of the stool analysis. What exactly did the Laboratory find? A herbal remedy may be a more natural one but it sounds like it has not helped you to rid of the pain at all? Did they culture the stool for any germs? What antibiotic were you given?

What is your usual method of birth control? Have you had an X-ray, ultrasound or MRI?

Would you describe your pain to me please. Is it a achy? Electrocuting? Pins and Needles? Tender?

Could you have a bladder or kidney infection? Has your urine been tested for white cells, red cells, nitrates and/ or cultured for microbes? Sometimes a bladder infection does not cause pain with urinating. You need to rule that out. Good luck.
