Hi everyone 😊

I've just joined this group so I wanted to introduce myself! I'm a 25 year old from Australia. I started suffering from pelvic pain at the beginning of this year. An internal ultrasound showed a small intramural fibroid and also prominent intra uterine and extra uterine vasculture. Which suggested Pelvic Congestion. My GP didn't give me very many options about how ti proceed, so I have just been taking naproxen on days when it's quite bad, and trying to avoid standing up for long periods as this aggrevates it.

In the past month or so I've been under heavy stress which has made the pelvic pain a lot worse. It's also causing me a lot of referred lower back pain which makes daily life quite difficult.

Going back to the GP this week to investigate my treatment options further and to find out more about this pain!

if sitting is unbearable, you could have pudendal neuralgia. the best thing, although not practical, is to lie on the floor.and put ice for 20 minutes on the affected area. make sure you put a cloth between the ice pack and your skin, so you don't burn your skin. if your pain is relieved, you could have pn. ask your doctor to refer you to a pain management doctor who specializes in pelvic pain. i live outside of boston and am fortunate to live in the medical capital of the world. if you do, try to contact ante barreveld, m.d., in newton, ma. after trying nerve blocks, which provided short term relief, she prescribed baclofen 10 mg vaginal muscle relaxants daily. this worked overnight.

i hope this will help.
