Scar tissue

Hello everyone! I had vestibulectomy in December 2015, and I've been having knifelike pain just where the suture line is since then. My doctor believes that the pain is due to my body's reaction to sutures. On the left it is very very hard, and on the right there is nothing visible except the redness on the suture line. What I don't understand is, is scar tissue and suture reaction the same thing?
