Clear Passage - Moving forward

In what I would call a miracle, it has become possible for me to try the Clear Passage therapy. I don't have a schedule yet, but I'll try to let you know the results when that becomes clear.

Good for you! I know you were very interested in that. I really hope you get some great results. Do you know if insurance covers it sometimes then? I wouldn't be able to try it without insurance.

No, my insurance won't cover it. The finances worked out in an unexpected way (not through my income.) This therapist doesn't take any insurance. The patient has to pay and then submit the bills to their provider. My insurer won't pay for out-of-network PT, plus I have a high deductible.

Oh okay. Yeah, I cant afford it without insurance, but maybe in the future. Best wishes for a helpful treatment! Let us know how it worked out.

Please explain what Clear Passage Therapy is.

It is a particular approach to PT for pelvic pain. The method was developed to address adhesions, but that is not the only problem they treat. The particular therapist I'll be seeing is also trained in traditional therapy and Barnes MFR, so that raises my confidence she can figure out something that works. We'll see. It's the best option open to me right now.

I'm in Terre haute. Did you get the therapy and did it help? I've been going to Cleveland clinic for intravaginal myofascial release therapy but it's so far away.

The jury is still out. The sharpest edges of the pain are honed down, I think, but the primary pain is still present virtually 24/7. I'm still in the 2-4 week window (through this week) when one is supposed to begin to see improvement.

The therapist is in Greenwood, and she is trained in Barnes MFR as well as Clear Passage. There are also at least two other Barnes MFR therapists in Indy who do internal work.
