Hi everyone, I had my little boy 9months ago now (i already have my daughter who is 3 1/2). I had some back and pelvic pain during pregnancy, mostly first and third trimester but nothing major. I saw a physio and they said I have pelvic girdle pain but it wasn't that bad.
Since the birth I've had lower back and pelvic pain. The lower back is in my lumbar and also slightly to the right of it and the pelvic pain comes and goes but is basically in a line across the front from hip to hip but inside.
It seems to get a bit worse around my period but I don't know if that's because the period pain is aggravating it.
Has anyone else had this and found something that helps? I've now been referred to a gynaecologist but not for another 6 weeks. I think they suspect endometriosis and I do have a number of the other symptoms associated with this but not all the time and not really badly so I wanted to keep an open mind and understand what else it could be.

It sounds like you need a MRI on your pelvis. I gave birth nearly a year ago and still get a pulling feeling in my hips, buttocks area. I had scan but nothing found but it may do with you.
Hi, thanks for your reply. My gynaecologist appointment is 11th June so I'm hoping to make some progress then. Its just such a long wait when I've already had problems for so long! I've seen a chiropractor and she said there's a lot of tension and potentially some swelling from aggravation around my sacroiliac joint on the right. It just seems too coincidental that it started after I gave birth but the doctors just kept fobbing me off until I finally got my referral. I'm still on maternity leave at the moment so will be interested to see.if going back to work and not doing so much bending and lifting with my son and my older daughter will make a difference. X
Yes I'm hoping going back to work helps. Do you ever feel a pulling feeling, kind of a tightness I guess? Is the chiropractor treatment helping?
Yeah, its pretty tight and feels like there's something inflamed or aggravated in my lower right back by my sacroiliac then there's a niggling sort of period type pain around the front from one hip to the other but that comes and goes (although seems to be here more.often than not at the moment!). I'm just getting so fed up of waiting for appointments and worried about what it could be. Still got to wait another 5 1/2 weeks until I see the gynaecologist which might not even be the right person x
I'm sure it's pregnancy/childbirth related. Try not to worry x
