Is it normal?

Hi

Ok so I have been diagnosed with Pelvic Congestion. But is it normal to feel in your pelvic area your vessel or vein pumping ? (Like your heart does after exercise, but with no exercise?) Even my partner puts his hand on my pelvic area and can feel it pumping away.

Any ideas on what it means or if it's normal?

I would have it checked out for an aortic aneurysm. Some people describe the following symptoms of an aortic aneurysm:

A pulsating bulge or a strong pulse in the abdomen

Feeling of fullness after minimal food intake

Nausea

Vomiting

Don't want to scare you but I think it warrants checking into.

My understanding of "pelvic congestion" (and it seems on this site that gyn doctors are now throwing around that word just as they did throw around "hormone problems" to me as my endo became so invasive I am now left with chronic damage to my intestines bladder and pelvic muscles when they did go in to do what was supposed to be a simple one hour surgery) is that it is due to varicose veins in the pelvis. I just mention my doubts because I and family members have been dismissed with easy terms that are meaningless and suffered terribly for this doctor habit. But if it is truly "pelvic congestion" and your symptoms do seem to suggest this this is not normal and the chances of a blockage would seem to be the same as with the legs. This is something your doctor needs to take seriously.
