Still recovering..

So recovery has been pretty painful..I'm not a complainer. I will say however this is something a 16 y/o shouldn't have to go through. I've had the pelvic pain since I was 12/13 and ever since been bounced around from doctor to doctor with no avail. Then I get the laparoscopy and though my Dr wanted so bad to find something..nothing was found. So anyway back to recovery. Off and on bleeding, pain where the incision was made, tired, headache, back pain, hip pain etc. Yesterday I fell off the recliner couch in the living room and the reclining part hit my stomach and I fell onto my stomach. Hurt crazy bad I cried immediately and so my mom gave me a Percocet. I awoke this morning and went to change my shirt and looked down and saw that the once clear gauze ball that I had covering umbilical incision had dark blood on it. It startled me even more that upon pulling the cotton/gauze thing back I see fresh blood. To make a Long story short I called the doctor, went to the doctor, he cleaned it and says everything is healing "beautifully" then put some type of thin strip of sticky tape over it. So I went home and after resting on the couch for a little, happened to lift up my shirt and saw a fresh little pool of blood where the tape was and in my belly button area. So I didn't panic simply rolled up a piece of gauze and put it where the blood was, and put too band aids across. I am still having discomfort in my incision area. Pain when I sneeze or cough or laugh. Still walking up the stairs slowly but able to walk up and down..slowly. You guys are probably wondering what I possibly expected especially my lap was only a week ago..I know. This is all just hard. I'm usually self-sufficient, help my mom with everything, take care of my dog alone, work 3 days a week and do online school..feeling sick is like hard. Anyway I'm in the bed now feeling sick and tired. Please respond. You ladies are really encouraging..

I sympathise greatly, I visit this site as my daughter has a similar history since the age of 14/15. She still suffers from chronic pelvic pain which debilitates her but I think the big change is now that she has changed her mindset and has better coping strategy s which have allowed her to live an age appropriate life, these have included a mindfulness course and SCENAR, the latter allowed her to cut down her medications and have 8 months without a flare up. I wish you well and hope you find some relief and as a mother yes I do not think it right that you have such a miserable time with the pain and surgery. Take care.

Honey have your ilioinguinal and genitofemrol nerves checked by a peripheral nerve surgeon or pain Dr. They can get damaged or nicked during a lap surgery. Google Dr Dellon and read his free chapter on Pelvic pain. If no tumors and nothing was seen it's probably a nerve causing the pain
