Hi, my name is Miznah Al-Abbadey and I am a Health Psychology PhD student at the University of Southampton. At the moment as part of my research, I am developing a new questionnaire that can be used to assess the impact of chronic pelvic pain (CPP) on women’s lives and would like women’s feedback on the measure.

The questionnaire has been designed specifically for women with CPP (with or without vulval pain) and aims to assess factors they consider relevant and important to them. If you agree to take part, you would be required to read through the questionnaire with me and give your thoughts and opinions on the questions.

Requirements: Are you female, aged 18 or over and have experienced pelvic pain and/or vulval pain for a minimum of 3 months? If yes, you are eligible to take part. The sessions will take place at the University of Southampton and will last approximately 1 hour. Participants' reasonable travel costs of up to £15 will be reimbursed by the University of Southampton. Please note that if you are unable to get to the University of Southampton, but live in Hampshire or surrounding counties, it may be possible for me to travel closer to you - please email me for details at maa1g10@soton.ac.uk or send me a message on HealthUnlocked.

As a thank you for your time and contribution, you will be offered £8. Thank you!

Hello, how interesting. I unfortunately live abroad and cannot get to you. I would have loved to help you as Pelvic pain is definately a Hot topic and needs to be studdied even more and the knowledge of finding a diagnosis for all the different types and spreading that knowledge on to psychologists, G.P.'s, Specialists, Gynacologists and surgeons is so so necessary. I wish you immense luck with good response. I could help you a bit if you needed to, just by adding a few symptoms of what I have.

Good luck.

Hello, Thanks so much for your post. The pilot study went well and I was fortunate enough to obtain enough participants for excellent feedback. I am not sure if you have seen my other new post, but the second part of this study is now available online. The study should take about 20-30 minutes to complete and the findings should hopefully result in a new measure for women with CPP.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask,

Best Wishes

Miznah
