Hi everyone, I'm Ana Carolina from Brazil and I have a doubt: anyone with PCD did vaginal childbirth or necessary was recomended th Cesarean section? My pneumologist didn't recomend to me the vaginal childbirth, but here in Brazil the culture of Cesarean birth is very strong....

Hi, I have PCD and two daughters who were born usual vagina way without much difficulty. However my PCD was not diagnosed then! Was having increasing chest problems shortly after they were born, my doctor sent me to respiratory consultant, and as this was before internet he had to spend time reading books in libraries, that showed I have Kartegeners Syndrome, my heart on right and all generally transposed. Good luck. Jean x

I have PCD and gave birth the vaginal way, which was absolutely fine. I had been diagnosed before I got pregnant and the doctors were all very helpful, and monitored me throughout my pregnancy and the birth. There was no emphasis on needing to have a caesarean birth (it was just an option if I had wanted it). Good luck x
