Hi, I was told when I was pregnant that my son had dextrocardia with situs invertus (he's now 4 months old), I was wondering if anyone has had tests to see if they are a carrier as I'm thinking about it

Thanks

As the mother of a child with PCD you would automatically be a carrier of PCD. It is usually carried by a recessive gene from each parent. Giving you a one in four chance of having a child with PCD and a one in two chance of a child also being a carrier, with each pregnancy you have.

You will find more information about this on the UK PCD Family Support Group website
