Cost of Ocaliva

Anyone knows what's the cost of Ocaliva in the US? I heard that it is extremely expensive.

If you had to pay for it, as per what my insurance is billed, it's over $8k but they have a systems where they work with your insurance and is based on income to a degree. I have Medicare/caid and pay nothing for mine.

My insurance just gave pre authorization but I have no idea what my out-of pocket will be. I'm very curious now.

Unless things have changed the dr has to send info to the company that makes Ocaliva and they will contact you to see what assistance you can get and will tell you after they talk to insurance what you cost is. It's not a med you get from your local pharmacy. It comes from one of 3 specialty pharmacies in the country. If dr only send prior to your insurance company you'll have the same problem as I did originally and won't get it.

hey iagra I am taking Ocaliva and I couldn’t afford to pay for it I was able to get financial assistance from the company that makes Ocaliva and I get mine through CVS speciality pharmacy check with your doctor about the financial assistance program take care
