my consultant suggested that I have a Stent put in...I have not heard of this or seen it written anywhere..have anyone else heard of this?

My consultant thought I needed a stent several years ago because the artery where the liver was joined on had bad scaring and had become very narrow which meant that the blood flow was restricted. However, he managed to widen the artery with a balloon so I didn't need a stent. When talking to other patients in my clinic I have been told that this is a procedure often needed.

You can have stents to help bile flow to/from the liver, where there are blockages in bile ducts. Should reduce symptoms like jaundice... Hope it goes ok.
