Hi,

Has anyone heard or taken Heptlar manufactured by Abbot for PBC or AIH?

Heptral 400mg Tablet is a medicine used for the treatment of liver disease associated with reduced bile formation (intrahepatic cholestasis). It protects the liver cells from toxins and helps the liver to perform its normal functions.

Not heard of that Cat. Are you in the U.K.?

I'd be careful though, as far as PBC goes anyway, our problem isn't reduced bile formation, so if that med works by increasing bile it could potentially cause more damage.
