AMA negative but ANA positive

Hi there, I was diagnosed with PBC just over two years ago, which was such a shock to me me as I had no idea about this condition (only visited doctor for a routine check-up 😧!!) Have been on Urso ( 2 years) but my ALP and GGT are still high!! Had biopsy and fibroscan 10.1 Specialist says I am stage 3. Now as well as Urso I have started on 5mg Obeticholic acid (Ocaliva) daily. Hopefully this will improve my LFT's. I would love to hear from others diagnosed as ANA positive. I am so pleased I found this site and good to know that I'm not alone with this rare and frustrating condition (thankfully asymptomatic at present).

thanks Liz

Hi Liz I’m AMA negative and ANA positive. I’m being treated for an overlap syndrome where there are features of AIH and PBC. I had a liver biopsy which showed involvement in my liver as well as my bile ducts. This was some years ago and I’m doing well on an immunosuppressant and Urso.
