I have read people who get pain the the right hand side of their body however mine is left hand side, just to the left and around the bottom of my ribs. It's more of a dull ache, doesn't really cause me great discomfort but I am not sure what is causing it because everything I read is right hand side pains.
Has anyone suffered this or know of anything it could be?
Thank you in advance xx

Is there any chance that you have strained yourself lifting or exercising? As I get older I find vacuuming causes me aches in all sorts of places. If none of the foregoing apply its worth seeing the doctor and getting him/her to check it out.
HiI have pain in the same place I’m convinced it’s an inflamed spleen I have been recently diagnosed with pbc and have stage 2 to 3 cirrhosis. From what I have read there is a link Going to bring it to my docs attention
Hi for years I have had a pain on my left side I have even been x rayed and had a ct scan and been told there is no arthritis. However an ultrasound revealed my spleen slightly enlarged so perhaps that is the source of the pain. As well as PBC I also have ITP so my autoimmune illnesses confuse what is happening with my liver, spleen and platelets as what is causing what! Anyway I keep taking the medicine Ursodexocholic Acid Bezafibrate and Romiplostin and I manage just fine. Good luck everyone think positive and keep taking the meds.
