Has any one read about how drinking baking soda water can help the spleen regulate the immune response and reduce inflammation?

I actually have heard of this. I think I read it was good for people with autoimmune things like rheumatoid arthritis...none of these home remedys ever seem to address PBC though. 😣

Baking soda water probably isn’t good for the liver with all that salt. I’m so tired I don’t feel like looking it up...maybe tomorrow.

This place s same article I read, it doesn’t say it helps pbc

Interesting little article, I’ve used bicarbonate of soda as an emergency heartburn remedy, and I grew up with my grandmother putting a pinch of it in the water to cook fruit and Vegetables, to help it keep its colour and to reduce the acidity. I’ve also used it as a paste for removing stains so I don’t think it’s so innocent. I think its all about acid - alkaline balance.

I used to drink bicarbonate of soda (baking soda in America) water a lot as I have a bladder problem and it didn’t help my PBC at all but maybe I wasn’t doing the right amount. Who knows I’m convinced if I could be switched off and on again I would reboot like a computer 🤪
