I am trying to go chemical free in my facial moisturizer. I have researched & been to 3 organic/health food stores. So many options. Any ideas ladies?

In the winter I use organic moroccan oil. Ingredients is just oil. I don’t use moisturizer in the Summer as it is very humid & my face is already oily.

Thank you. I think I saw that one at the Grannary. I’ll go by Monday afternoon & see if that’s where it was. My skin is fairly dry.

My body wash has marula oil & I love the smell. I just googled it. Marula is from South Africa. Pure oil for 1 oz - $100! Lol! Can’t do that. I think it was $36 on Amazon.

Rose hip oil is amazing. It takes away lines and discoloration and you can buy it at Whole Foods for $20.

Thank you! I am also on ALF fb Support Group & a lady there, who lives in Australia, also uses rose hip. She said her skin is very dry & she loves it too. 😊

I have had a little Basal cancers removed from my face and every day use Rose hip oil for scar reduction as recommended by a friend

It has over time made light work of my scars

I can Hardly see them now

It’s great

Don’t know if you can get it where you live but moo goo is an excellent make that made in Australia. I know it’s available in Ireland and uk.

Thank you. I’ll check our stores. Considering I’ve never been as interested in all natural as I am now, I saw stuff in our health stores I would have not had a clue about. I’m glad I’m checking it out though. 🤗

If you have a Whole Foods, check them out for organic personal care items. They have a lot. So does Blue Mercury.

I make my own products, including soap as I'm an Aromatherapist. I've been shocked in my research with the nasty ingredients in most commercial products.

gwillistexas profile image
gwillistexas in reply to inkedup9

Oh, you’re absolutely right. I’ve just gotten more aware of things lately. So, what do you use on your face?

inkedup9 profile image
inkedup9 in reply to gwillistexas

I use my own soap, made with organic coconut and olive oil, which is very moisturising, and my own balms to remove eye makeup and to moisturise. I usually use organic coconut to moisturise my body.

Thanks! I’m going back to the Grannary later today, as I have researched a lot this weekend & pretty sure what I’m going after. Appreciate you😊

I’ll ask you also since you’re an aromatherapist, I bought pure sweet almond oil & essential oil. I want to make my own fragrance & have been researching the proper & safe dilution method. Ideas?

Are you in the US? Check out 70 Proof Skin Care. It’s a cleansing and moisturizing system with lanolin. I’ve been using it about six months now and my skin looks amazing!

I have been using coconut oil on my body and it works really well. Mortician oil on face is also nice. I am going to try rose hips as well

Lol!!! Isn’t autocorrect great🤣. Yes I’ve about decided on rose hip too. This morning I used pure almond oil just to see. It’s also very inexpensive. I plan to go back to the Grannary tomorrow afternoon & try rose hip. Tks! Have a great day!🤗

I'm sold! Can't wait to try Rose hip oil. I have used Moroccan oil before in my hair back, when I had hair. My hair is so thin now I hardly have to use conditioner.

Ok...I'm a bit of a product Wh**e. I have been making skin care products, including face for awhile now. Out of laziness, I found some products online that I truly love. There is a company called Golden Sundrops. They make serums, eye cream, day cream, night cream. Since I live in Az. where we have zero, zip, nada, humidity unless we're in a f"in monsoon, my skin feels it. The Golden Sundrops it wonderful. The creams are heavy, so use sparingly. The serum smells like juju bees candy...yummie. I buy it on Amazon. It is very cost effective and the results are great. Check it out. Also, FoxBrim was good stuff.

Ciao Bella

You'd probably do well with FoxBrim. They are organic and won't break the bank

of course...just ask and I will save you lots of research time. Madd Hippie and Andelou Naturals are nice too. I don't like Acure for me. Then again, I'm old and cranky, living in the desert....dry, hot, would love, love, love some humidity. Running a humidifier in the house year round helps.

gwillistexas in reply to mrspeffer

I actually saw mad hippie yesterday. But I’ve found there’s no one in these stores to actually help you. It was st the most expensive store of the 3 I’ve gone to. I’m going to the Grannary tomorrow afternoon. The lady there is better to help. Family owned for 45 years. Oh I’m not sure I would get used to that dry air. But a lot of people obviously like living there. How long have you lived there?

Been here about a year. We are actually looking at Texas. Moved out of Calif. for multiple reasons. As far as skin care., shop around. I compare iherb.com with Amazon and thrive market. Better prices. Good luck girl

No worries, I’ll definitely check things out before I buy. I greatly appreciate your help. I enjoy your posts! Hope you get to Texas soon. 😊🦋
